Rules & Restrictions
Quick-reference operating rules for all Lake Therapy Outfitters rentals. The full details are in the Rental Agreement, which you’ll sign in person at the safety walkthrough.
Who can operate
- Operator must be at least 21 years old
- Valid driver’s license required
- Missouri Boating Safety Certificate required if born on or after January 1, 1984 — valid out-of-state cards are accepted
- No operation under the influence of drugs or alcohol
Where & when
- Daylight hours only — boat has no night navigation lights
- Operation restricted to Lake of the Ozarks mile markers 32 to 59 (boat is located at mile marker 46.5)
- No beaching the watercraft
On the boat
- No pets
- No BBQ grills
- Children 12 and under must wear life jackets at all times
- No standing on gunwales or riding on bow/stern while moving
Returns & fees
- Return the boat with a full tank of gas
- $50 minimum cleaning fee if returned unreasonably dirty
- $50 per half-hour late return fee
- Damages charged at cost plus 20%
Cancellations & changes
- 7+ days before reservation: $30 processing fee
- Less than 7 days: forfeit half of the reservation amount
- Less than 48 hours: forfeit full reservation amount
- Date/time changes must be made 48+ hours in advance by phone at 816-507-9024
